Get Curried Away
In South East Asian culture, food is a form of worship. It’s like an art-form where precious recipes are passed down through generations. These aren’t just simple dishes. These are stories: of spices and quantities of ingredients, measured and perfected over decades from one hand to the next. These are odes to our culture, our upbringing and a reverent tribute to the produce that was so lovingly and thoughtfully sourced. We grew up eating masterpieces served to our taste buds and souls.
And then suddenly we moved across the world where we realized that we’d taken the flavors we grew up with for granted for so long. We now planned trips home, and to other places, to experience the foods we missed, and some we wanted to be introduced to. And then we realized, we wanted to make these flavors more accessible to ourselves and to others like us. And so, in 2018 we finally succumbed to our love for the wholesome foods we grew up eating and decided to begin working on Get Curried Away because nothing says South East Asian food appreciation like the feeling of being carried away by its richness.
We aim to manufacture Indian Curry Sauces in a simmer sauce fo rm. Sauces bottled and sealed to retain their freshness, and with all the wholesome no preservatives/color perfection, using simple yet robust ingredients to bring the taste of India to your table. And because our Asian mothers would be mortified if we didn’t, we know we want to give back; ensuring that a percentage of our profits are donated to organizations that aid the women’s empowerment movement.
