A total of 82% of patients completing treatment at Baltimore Work Rehab either returned to work, or were fully capable of returning to work after treatment.

Another 11% of patients in treatment reached Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI) due to treatment and were able to work, but for various reasons did not start at the time of discharge.

Only 7% of patients in treatment did not achieve full successful outcomes resulting in discharge due to "too little progress".

Of the patients seen at BWR:

  • 9.9% were referred to BWR for evaluation and assessment (FCE/PTE) only and did not participate in a treatment program
  • 9.9% of patients were taken from treatment by their physicians for surgery or other treatment
  • 71% of all patients entering treatment achieved successful outcomes (including those who discontinued treatment, found a closer facility, were non-compliant, etc.)

A - Total patients who entered BWR for any and all reasons

B - Patients who entered treatment and are not in categories of exclusion (F,G,H,I,K,L)

C - Patients who returned to work

D - Patients who were fully capable to return to work (but for other reasons did not)

E - Patients who reached Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI) due to treatment

F - Patients taken from treatment by physician for surgery or other treatment

G - Patients who chose another facility (for proximity reasons, etc.)

H - Patients discharged due to unrelated medical conditions

I - Patients discharged due to poor attendence or for personal reasons

J - Patients who did not reach desired progress

K - Patients who were non-compliant (discharged due to "too little progress")

L - Patients who were sent to BWR for evaluation & referral ONLY (not for treatment)
